The lineup
Everyone seems to be enjoying the Klassy NY Pale Ale that we made in collaboration with the fine folks at Big Ditch. We brought it to Bidwell, where it promptly sold out, and then to the Farm to Pint event at Hamburg Brewing the next day. There is a bit of it left if you can make it down to the brewery!
Here’s what’s on tap today:
- Frank
- The Whale
- The IPA
- De Maas
- Rutherford B. Haze
- Singularity (East Kent Golding)
- Grisette #1 (only five gallons left)
- Klassy NY Pale Ale (only five gallons left)
- The Double IPA
Yes, we’re on our last kegs of Grisette and Klassy!
But wait: what’s that at the end? We also have The Double IPA! Although we had been making it monthly, our anniversary party and other one off adventures had delayed its return for three (!) months. But no more! If you’re a fan of hops you should most definitely stop down at the brewery for a sample and a growler.
The Bidwell lineup
We’re going back to basics at the farmer’s market this week. We’ll be bringing:
- Frank
- The Whale
- The IPA
- Rutherford B. Haze
Yes, this means if you want De Maas, The Double IPA or one of the one-offs you need to head to the brewery before Saturday. Such is the nature of Bidwell logistics! Although we might have some news on that front soon; stay tuned.
The news: starting this Saturday we will also have retail hours at the brewery, from 12-4!
You’d better BuffaBe there
Next Friday is the second annual BuffaLoveFest at the zoo!
As it was last year, for $20 you get two drink tickets and admission to the event, which features live music, food trucks and “all things Buffalo.” We’ll be there, beer in hand (technically, in keg), and if you love Buffalo and portmanteaus then you should find it right up your alley.
We got ambitious
Last night we gathered at Mister Goodbar, once again to talk books. It was our second book club: this time we had chosen to read Maureen Ogle’s Ambitious Brew. Expect a full recap on Tuesday, but in short: it was fun, and we had lots to talk about.
We also set the date for our third book club discussion: on Wednesday, August 20 you should meet us on the second floor of Goodbar.
The book: Beer and Philosophy: The Unexamined Beer Isn’t Worth Drinking by Steven Hales ((Yes, I got my way!)).
As always, we’ll be putting in a group order with Talking Leaves for the book. If you’d like to support a local business and save a little money, send me an email by Friday, June 6. Or now. Now would also work.
Either way: read the book! Come to Goodbar! This one should be quite interesting.
