Their Embeered Lives: Dinner at the Lodge

On Sunday we held an all-you-can-eat beer pairing dinner at The Lodge on Chippewa. I asked Brendon to send me a picture, and Brendon sent me lots of pictures. So many I couldn’t even post them all on Instagram. So: I decided to have him provide captions and post them all here as a sort of visual journey.

(a note to our vegan beer lovers: the main course was an entire roasted pig, so, be warned if that’s the sort of thing you’d prefer to not see)

The appetizer course consisted of scramps, raw oysters, raw clams, corn fritters, pulled pork todtados, and a house salad.

Before the meal, everyone got to sample at 5 options of beer as Drew and Brendon went through flavor profiles and suggested food pairings for each.

Dessert consisted of five types of cookies, brownies, and carrot cakes (which paired amazingly well with That IPA. Carrot cake and That IPA is a thing).
