Are you reading this today?

That’s a dumb question. Of course you’re reading this today. You can’t be reading it in the past or future, only now. The question is, more accurately, “When is now?”

This has quickly turned into either a philosophy class or a Spaceballs reenactment and I can’t quite tell which.

Anyway, what I’ve been getting at is a reminder that today is the 4th of July, and as such there is no retail today. Tomorrow we’ll be open 3-8 as always, as well as Saturday’s 8-1 stint at Bidwell.

Stay home! Have some watermelon. Put salt on it if you’re weird (do you also put cheese on apple pie?). Enjoy a nice relaxing evening punctuated with watching controlled explosions.

The Battle for Buffalo’s Heart

Last weekend, the Global Warming Open took a dramatic turn: in round three we found our Rutherford B. Haze facing off against Pearl Street’s Lune’d’bleu. Two Buffalo beers enter, only one would leave. How did we do?

In all seriousness, Pearl St did in fact knock us out of the competition. Hey, if we had to go I’m happy it was a friend who did it. They have moved on to the quarterfinals against The Lost Abbey’s Carnevale and we wish them the best of luck.
