Rhubarbford

The status remains quo

Last week I dropped a bombshell on you, dear reader: no more Singularity until September.

We still have the five usuals: Frank, The Whale, De Maas, The IPA and Rutherford B. Haze. Those aren’t going anywhere, and in fact we’ve scaled back on the Singularities to be sure they don’t go anywhere. And yet, and yet… do you find yourself yearning for more?

Enter: Strawberry Rhubarbford B. Haze

I know what you’re thinking: “What the what?”, Liz Lemon style.

Just because we haven’t been toying around as much on the commercial scale — and we have: check back next week — doesn’t mean Rudy &co have been sitting around twiddling their thumbs.

Take Rutherford, a Belgian style wheat. Add strawberries. Add rhubarb. Add, dare I say, magic?

When can you get this concoction? Today! However — and this is a big caveat — it is samples only. We have less than five gallons of this delicious monstrosity, meaning it might not make it til 5 pm if we filled growlers of it.

Next year we’ll make a larger batch of it. Consider this a proof of concept. A delicious, delicious proof of concept.

Tomorrow: Duality!

Don’t forget: our cask of Singularity (Chinook) that’s been dry hopped with citra hops will be tapped tomorrow at Mister Goodbar! There’s only one cask of this available, so you might want to skeedaddle on down.

Next week: a Western New York Beer Tasting

This Tuesday, we along with our local compatriots will be heading to Brennan’s Bowery Bar for their Western New York Beer Tasting!

We’re joining Flying Bison, Resurgence, Hamburg, Southern Tier and Three Heads from 6 until 10. $10 gets you a sample glass and two pours, with fills after that costing $2.

We hope to see you there!
