Hucklebuckets, A Love Story
December 9, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Once upon a dream, an entrepreneur had a vision to sell food in a new and unique way. A means of service that was firmly inline with late stage capitalism, excess, and gratuitous amounts of Hucklesauce.
That place? Hucklebuckets.
A restaurant built to satisfy our gluttonous urges and to inspire a hathos amongst foodies throughout the Queen City. A restaurant that shed it’s mortal coil too soon. And without a proper goodbye from it’s fans and enemies.
To celebrate the idea of serving food in buckets, BreadHive Bakery & Cafe and Community Beer Works are teaming up this Saturday to provide a public wake for Hucklebuckets.
Breadhive will offer a special Hucklemenu at CBW to include pretzels and dips served in a commemorative bucket for keeps! They’re also paying tribute to the late, great menu item “The Dumper” with their own for $10,
The Breadhive Dumper will feature a commemorative bucket filled with 3 chopped pretzels, house-made beer cheese made with CBW’s The Whale Brown Ale, bacon, sour cream, + scallions.
Community Beer Works will offer Frank American Pale Ale served in a 32 oz bucket for $10. We’ve also brewed up a special batch of beer called Hucklebucket Baby Bumper Gose, a traditional gose conditioned on Huckleberries. Pints for $5
We’ll share some memories, tell our Hucklestories, cry, laugh, and mourn the loss of a local Buffalo icon all while engaging in various bucket-related shenanigans.
Join us, we’ll be your huckleberry.
